4 simple steps to get connected

If you’re taking on a self-build project, need to get connected with about 3 meter points or you're refurbishing and need a new meter then we're here to help you through the whole process.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Start off by filling in our contact form below.

  2. Once you've done that we'll send you an email with our new connection self-build form which will ask you for all the details about your property and what meters you need.
    Good to know: We'll need quite a bit of technical detail about your building and any meters already at the property so it'll be worth giving yourself some time to complete that when it arrives. If you get stuck our team can help you fill it in.

  3. Our specialist new connection team will check your form and all being well, your site will usually be registered within 24 hours. (Larger sites may take longer.)

  4. The new connection team will also come back to you within 48 hours to agree a tariff for your new supply

Important: This service is for new meter connections to the national grid, not a replacement service for faulty or damaged meters. If you need help with your meter then take a look at our damaged and faulty meter page.
